The First Shot
If you've been following my blog you'll know that I recently got a very BIG gift. It may not be massive in size but it means a lot to me. I got a Canon EOS 650D (T4i for those in the US) as a gift.
You'll also know that I absolutely love photographing Oriental Garden Lizards. I think they're pretty cool. So, I had to wait a while before I saw a lizard and this was the first shot of a lizard I was able to get using this camera.

Pretty Bunch
I found these flowers in a garden that was full of pretty flowers. These really stood out because there was just this one plant with these flowers. It seemed out of place because there were multiple plants of all the other types. This one was quite beautiful. It seemed soft and fluffy. Unfortunately I couldn't touch it because there was a massive sign that said we shouldn't touch the flowers.

Glorious Sunset
After a rather dusty and noisy ride we reached our destination by public transport.
This sunset really lifted my spirits. There were 10 others with me but sadly no one else seemed to notice it.

Being Different
Sometimes it's good to be different from everyone else around you. I say sometimes because that's not always true.
Anyway the picture is why we are here so lets talk about that. There is a small patch in our backyard where we have a few mustard plants. Almost all the plants here have yellow flower except this little plant that has white flowers.

Trying To Hide
Watching this lizard reminded me of playing hide-and-seek when I was little. I could never stop laughing and so was one of the first ones caught.
This lizard just couldn't stay still. If it hadn't moved I would never have noticed it but it just started running as soon as it saw me when I was more than 20 feet away. Now I'm glad that it did move because it gave me a really unique shot.

Hidden In Plain Sight
I'm really enjoying using the 650D. It's an amazing camera. Definitely a BIG step up from the SX50 HS that I was using.
Obviously the SX50 has a massive zoom that cannot be beaten by this camera but I've been able to do so much more with the new one.
I had a lot of fun shooting Oriental Garden Lizards this week. There seemed to be quite a few which is a good sign.

Through The Plantation
I was cycling past this tea plantation when I noticed this particular path. There didn't seem to be very many paths through the tea trees (yes, they're called tea trees) which was odd and this seemed to be the only one.
I just had to stop and take a picture of the scene just as the clouds were forming.

Gratitude
I have so much to be thankful for today so I thought I'd go with a flower. God has been infinitely merciful and gracious.
I just got my results today and they were good. The weird grading system gave me a brief scare but it turned out to be a good thing. Plus I never expected this because I missed so many classes due to sickness.
