Fling

Until fairly recently I didn't realise that shooting people would be so much fun. I now wish I had started sooner but it's better late than never. So much to learn but it's just so much fun. It's kinda addicting to be honest.

This is one of my closest friends and she was kind enough to let me take a few pictures. Sure it's not perfect but it was just for fun.

Freedom

Here is another one of my favourites from my recent trip to Dehradun. This was taken at a place called Dhanolti.

There's an Eco Park that is just really beautiful. Although the weather wasn't very good the day we went and there was dense fog it was gorgeous especially because of the fog. The sky cleared for about two minutes when I took this shot.

God's creation just cannot be beaten.

For the record, this is not the shot I was trying to take when I got injured.

Today is the last day of my summer vacation and I have to get back to college tomorrow which I am not looking forward to. That's why this post was titled freedom - the last day of it :D

A King In Its Own Right

Have I ever told you that Oriental Garden Lizard's are really territorial? They will really go out of their way to defend their territory. So, if you are an intruder - BEWARE!

These lizards will give you a warning though, so be on the lookout if you are a trespassing male lizard. The males will do these little "push-ups" to warn another intruding male. If that intruder doesn't back off then they'll hash it out.

I always look out for such things because if I notice one lizard doing "push-ups" then I know there is another lizard nearby and that means more photo ops that I can't miss :D So, these creatures can actually be an asset to you.

Evening Call

I watched as two birds built their nest but it was a little too high so I knew I wouldn't be getting any pictures of the cute babies that would hatch soon. But one can always hope and I kept watching this nest everyday.

Sure enough I saw one of the baby birds one day but I didn't have a camera then so I just stood there enjoying the cute little thing.

Days later I saw this little birds sitting on the branch and calling out to its parents. I wonder whether it was calling for food or trying to draw their attention to the human with the weird looking "third eye". Or maybe it was a combination of both.

The sun was bright in the sky and as I mentioned in an earlier post - sunlight is not something that you have control over so you have to work with what you get.

A Happy Moment

Today's picture is going to be a break from the usual nature ones. No particular reason, I just felt like sharing this because I hadn't before.

This picture was part of an inter-college competition. We were forced to take pictures of people and quite frankly that isn't my cup of tea. So I had to work outside my comfort zone and to be honest it was a little weird in the beginning but I was soon able to get over it.

I wasn't very happy with the theme but now looking back I'm actually happy that I had to work outside my comfort zone because it made me think different and just look at things differently and this helped me learn a lot.
